U.S. Troops need quality-of-life items
The troops in Afghanistan and throughout the Middle East are dealing with some harsh conditions. Some of the troops are desperate for items from home as they are living day to day with very little. Their tents have no electricity and shower facilities are very limited.
The American Red Cross has provided a list of items that the troops have requested and members of the Orleans County American Red Cross say their organization would send these items overseas to meet the needs. Anyone who wishes to provide any of the following items can drop them off at The American Red Cross, 421 Main Street, Medina, or call 798-3170 for information. Letters from home during these times are appreciated, too.
