Hillside Cemetery campaign underway

A campaign to help with maintenance and preservation of Hillside Cemetery in Holley is underway. Tree removal, deteriorating landscape and lawn mowing are costly and if enough funds are not raised, the ownership of the cemetery could be taken over by the Town of Clarendon and put on the tax rolls. Doing so would mean only Clarendon residents could be buried there and charged the base fee. Residents of Murray or elsewhere would be charged much higher fees.
