Hamlin Fire Department receives federal grant

According to Congressman John J. LaFalce (D-29, NY) the Walker Fire District has been awarded $19,759 under the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. The Walker Fire District serves a portion of the Town of Hamlin.

The Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program provides federal financial assistance to help improve basic fire delivery services across the United States. Funds can be used for fire operations and firefighter safety, fire prevention efforts, emergency medical services training and equipment, and firefighting vehicles.
