Churchville-Chili staff make a difference

Churchville-Chili staff raised a total of $19,029.27 for the 2001-2002 United Way campaign. The 2001-2002 average employee gift of $123.57 increased by 8.3 percent from the 2000-2001 campaign. The United Way education division consists of 23 school districts. Churchville-Chili ranks third in this division in the average gift category.

Dave Johnson, assistant principal at Chestnut Ridge Elementary school and CCCSD 2001-2002 United Way campaign coordinator, was recently recognized by the Churchville-Chili Board of Education for the success of this year's campaign. Johnson said, "I organized this campaign but everyone else made it happen. This school community is generous. I think the events of 9/11 inspired many people to make an increase in their gift. A special thank you to all who helped to make this campaign a success."
