'George Burns' entertains in Brockport

Saturday night, October 19, area residents attended the dinner show at SUNY Brockport banquet room. Alan DeValerio gave his George Burns standup humorous routine of the late comedian. The event was a Brockport Kiwanis Club fundraiser with proceeds going towards various children's activities in the area.

The real actress for the evening turned out to be Carol Benedetti, when at the last minute the routine which normally included a tape conversation with Gracie Allen didn't work. Dan asked Carol, a Kiwanis member, to perform from a script. With only 15 minutes to rehearse her reading of back and forth dialogue, she did an outstanding performance; Gracie Allen had arrived.
