Abbate, Joseph J., October 19, 2002 at age 88. Predeceased by brothers, Angelo, Samuel, Morris, Leonardo; sisters, Pauline and Connie. Joseph is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Services were held October 22 at Holy Cross Church, Lake Avenue. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Michatek, Chester W., October 16, 2002 at age 88. Predeceased by loving wife, Elizabeth. He is survived by his children, Anne (Joseph) McDonald, Rev. William Michatek, pastor of St. John's Church in Spencerport and Robert (Kathryn) Michatek; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces. He was a retiree of Eastman Kodak after 44 years and a long-time parishioner of St. Helen's Church.
A Funeral Service was said October 19 at St. Helen's Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Contributions can be made to St. Helen's Church in his memory.
ALBION
Cropsey, Helen MacGregor, age 91, of Albion, died October 19, 2002. Predeceased by her husband, Franklin B. Cropsey, local attorney. Survived by daughter, Virginia C. Mortimer (Charles) of Mansfield, Texas; son, Conrad F. Cropsey (Margaret) of Albion; grandson, Stephen C.F. Mortimer (Kathryn) of Brookline, Massachusetts; sister-in-law, Caroline C. Brown (Henry) formerly of Spencerport; many dear nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held at the First Presbyterian Church of Albion, October 23. Interment, Mount Albion Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Albion, Central Orleans Volunteers Ambulance (COVA), or to a charity of one's choice in her memory.
CHILI
Quimby, Arlie D., October 21, 2002 at age 84. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Virginia (Rossman) Quimby; son, Bruce R. (Susan) Quimby; his grandchildren, Michelle, Stacey and Ashley Quimby; many nieces and nephews. Arlie was a retired Superintendent from Agway where he worked for 43 years. He was a WWII Army Veteran in the SW Pacific and a member of the Harvey C. Noone American Legion Post 954 in Churchville for 49 years.
Funeral Services were held October 24 at the Walker Brothers Company Funeral Home, Inc., Churchville. Interment in Sweden Hill Cemetery in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. Donations can be made to the Chili Volunteer Ambulance, 3235 Chili Avenue, Rochester 14624 in his memory.
HAMLIN
Smith, Margaret A., October 21, 2002 at age 90. Predeceased by her husband, Andrew Smith, Sr. Margaret is survived by her children, Barbara Cline, Andrew (Lucinda) Smith Jr; brothers, Donald Leiter; grandchildren, Tasha Cline, Christopher (Heidi) Smith and Patrick Smith.
Funeral Services were held October 24 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Hamlin United Methodist Church in her memory.
KENDALL
Butler, Merle R., 79, died October 16, 2002. Former employee of Eastman Kodak and U.S. Navy Veteran. Survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Robert Butler of Holley, David Butler of New Jersey, daughter, Betty Ann Ward of Batavia; step-children, James (Nancy) Lardner of Clarkson, Harold (Colleen) Lardner of Holley, Mary Lou (Robert) Tuller of Batavia; five grandchildren, John Butler, Marjorie Ward, Charles Ward, Lyle and Jacob Butler; eight step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild.
Funeral Services were held October 19 at the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley. Interment in Green-wood Cemetery.
SPENCERPORT
Magliocco, David G., Suddenly, October 18, 2002 at the age of 42. Survived by his parents, Dominick and Mary (Ariano) Magliocco; brother and sister, Lawrence (Joanne) Magliocco, Ann (Edward) Philippson; several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was held October 23 at St. Pius the X Church. Masses may be offered for the repose of his soul.
