Frozen pies new to CC Fruit Sale
The annual Churchville Chili Senior High School Band Fruit Sale got underway on Wednesday, October 16. This year the band is using a Rochester based company featuring fresh produce this year from Florida, California, New York and Hawaii. New selections are available this year, including New York State apples, D'Anjou pears, California navel oranges in 2/5 or 4/5 bushel sizes, and "Jet Fresh" Hawaiian pineapples. The usual selections of red grapefruit, navel oranges, and juice-oranges in 2/5 and 4/5 bushel sizes are still available. Mixed boxes of oranges and grapefruits, as well as orange-grapefruit-apple and orange-pear-apple gift boxes are also available.
New to the fruit sale will be the addition of Sara Lee Chef Pierre Gourmet Pies. The all-natural, no preservative pies are restaurant quality and come frozen, ready to bake. Flavors available are apple, pumpkin, blueberry crunch, cherry crunch, peach, fruits-of-the forest, caramel apple nut, southern pecan, lemon meringue, and peach berry. Each pie weighs 46 to 51 ounces and will cost $10 or 11.
All band members are taking orders through Wednesday, October 30. The pick-up dates will be Friday, December 6 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and Saturday, December 7 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the Instrumental Music Room of the Churchville-Chili Senior High. All frozen pies must be picked up between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7.
The money raised from the sale will go towards future band events such as the annual band banquet and a possible trip. Thank you for your continual support of the instrumental music program at Churchville-Chili.
