Chili Recreation programs

•A Time To Grow Playcare - For ages 2 to 5 years old. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. $8 a day per child, $15 a day for two siblings. Located at the Community Center, 4400 Buffalo Road, North Chili. Call 594-2030.

•A Time To Grow Preschool - Classes available for 3, 4 and 5 year old children. Morning and afternoons. Children must be three on or before December 1. Call 247-3532 or 538-4392.

•Karate - Black Belt Instructors for ages 5 and up. Ages 5-7 Tuesday and Thursday 6 to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 to 10:30 a.m. Ages 8 and up Tuesday and Thursdays 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 to 10:30 a.m. Call 594-2030 to sign up any time.

•Dog Obedience - For dogs eight weeks and older. Held Wednesday evening or Saturday morning. Call 889-0501 for registration information.

•Joys of Antiques - With Ed Cornwell, Jr. Classes include lectures, slides and displays. Cost is $40. Payment is due at registration. Those who have previously taken classes will receive a registration form in the mail. Call 594-2030 for new session dates.

•Quilting Club - Held every Friday during the school year from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring a project (any kind of hand sewing) and lunch. Coffee/tea provided. Bring cup or mug. Free.

•Babysitting Course - For ages 11 and over. Red Cross Instructors. Must pre-register and prepay. Bring a bag lunch, snack, drink and pen and paper. The date is November 16, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fee $29 resident, $31 non-resident. Call 594-2030 to register. Minimum 12, maximum 20.

•Body Tones - Exercise to music. Group fitness Monday, Wednesday 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday 9 to 10 a.m., Monday 7 to 8 p.m. and Wednesdays 6:30-7:30 p.m. Seniors Tuesday/Thursday 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Pilates fitness Monday 6 to 7 p.m., Friday 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. New Strength Train, Tuesday 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Special rates for seniors. Eight week session begins November 4 through January 4. Call 594-2030 for fee and registration.

•Beginner Tap/Ballet/Tumbling - For ages 4 to 8 basic ballet, tap, tumbling will be taught. Ballet shoes are recommended, plus a pair of hard sole shoes for tap. Classes will be held on Tuesday from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. Class dates are November 5 through December 17. Call 594-2030 to register and for fee.

•Intermediate Tap/Ballet and Tumbling - For ages 5 to 9 with previous dance experience. Improves coordination and confidence. Ballet shoes are recommended plus a pair of hard sole shoes for tap. Classes will be held on Tuesday from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Class dates are November 5 through December 17. Call 594-2030 to register and for fee.

•Indoor Soccer Clinic - For boys and girls ages 7 to 12. Will be held January 4 to February 8 on Saturdays noon to 3 p.m. one hour squads. $25 includes instruction and t-shirts. Instructor is Doug May (Nazareth Soccer Coach). Call 889-4680 for registration form.

•Breakfast With Santa - Come join us on Saturday, December 7 or December 14, 10 a.m. to noon at the Community Center, 4400 Buffalo Road. $6 per person. The limit is 150 people per day. Tickets available at 3235 Chili Avenue or 4400 Buffalo Road on November 1.

•Christmas Home Decoration Contest - Sponsored by One Step Tree and Lawn and Home Decorating. On December 22 any Chili home that is registered will be judged for (Light Spectacular, Best Theme.) Call 889-4680 to register. There are first, second and third prizes.

•Youth Ski Club - Meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. November 6 at the Community Center, 4400 Buffalo Road at 7 p.m. A Swain representative will be there to present this year's program; Friday evenings for six weeks. Ages are elementary to 18 years. Begins January 1.
