Spencerport village board to consider office rehab bids
At the Spencerport village board meeting Wednesday, November 6, trustees will consider bids received for rehab work to a portion of the village office, 27 West Avenue.
Cost of the renovations, estimated to be approximately $120,000, are included in the 2002-03 budget's operating expenses. The work would center on the building's upper floor on the east side. The service counter area would be made more user friendly, Mayor Ted Walker said, and the work environment opened up.
Three bids were received and were to include costs for structural work, carpeting, petitions, counters and cabinets, storage and work space creation.
Walker said the plans discussed by the board were based on suggestions made by a committee formed about five years ago after village residents voted down a proposal for a total office reconfiguration.
