Three Nazareth tennis players, who helped lead Nazareth's Golden Flyers to the conference championship, were honored with the announcement of the 2002 Empire 8 women's tennis all-conference teams.
Sophomore Andrea Gaddis (Spencerport High School) and junior Becca Lenhard (Homer) each were named to the first team for both singles and doubles. Sophomore Ann Kucheryavenko (Old Town High School, Old Town, Maine) was a second-team choice at singles.
Lenhard played first singles for the Golden Flyers and compiled an overall record of 12-6. She also teamed with Gaddis at first doubles to produce a record of 11-6. Gaddis played second singles for the Golden Flyers this fall and finished with an overall record of 13-7. Kucheryavenko competed at sixth singles for Nazareth and had an overall record of 17-2. She won two matches at the NYSWCAA Tournament, before falling in the semifinals.
