Bachelor's degree online study program
launched by GCC and Franklin University

Franklin University Regional Director Steve Singer will be at the Genesee Community College Batavia Campus on November 14 to discuss how Genesee students can earn a bachelor's degree online through Franklin's Community College Alliance (CCA) program. Singer will be in the college forum outside of the cafeteria from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will also be available for student appointments. This information session is free and open to the public, and is ideal for students currently enrolled at Genesee, or anyone thinking about a college education.

The CCA is a bachelor's degree completion program that allows students in the U.S. and Canada to combine on-campus coursework at their local community college with online classes through Franklin to complete their degree. After completing their associate's degree at Genesee, students take bridge courses (approximately 36 quarter units) at Genesee and online classes (minimum 40 semester hours) through Franklin University to earn one of seven bachelor of science degrees, including Applied Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, Digital Communication, Health Care Management, Management Information Sciences and Public Safety Management.

Genesee is one of 182 community colleges across the U.S. and Canada that have formed an educational alliance with Franklin University. The Franklin Community College Alliance was established to provide students the opportunity to earn their bachelor's degree online while remaining in their community.
