Tourism agencies receive matching funds

Local tourism promotion agencies in the 137th Assembly District are the recipients of matching funds from New York state to assist in marketing efforts.

The matching fund program is administered through the Empire State Development Corp. Division of Tourism. Matching funds can be used for advertising, audiovisual and photography production, toll free "800" phone charges, mail costs, posters for official I LOVE NY festivals and various other research, marketing and public relations initiatives.

The specific grants are: Genesee County Chamber of Commerce $81,617; Niagara County Tourism - $87,951; Orleans County Tourism - $57,055.
