Holley sixth graders visit Challenger Learning Center
Holley sixth-graders Katie Eberling and Justin Shenck work in the "spacecraft" glove box that is part of the Challenger Learning Center at the Strasenburgh Planetarium. While the crew work in the "spacecraft," their classmates are communicating with them in "mission control." Holley sixth-graders recently spent the day at the Challenger Learning Center, part of the world's first interactive space science education network. The project was created after the 1986 Challenger space shuttle tragedy by the families of the seven Challenger astronauts to carry on their mission: to explore and teach.
