Kendall takes
"Learn To Earn"
on the road
Kendall's Studio K drama club students took their "Learn to Earn" production on the road when they performed at the New York State School Boards (NYSSBA) Conference in Syracuse on October 25.
"Learn to Earn" is a play about the NYS Learning Standards. Representing the GLOW (Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming counties) School-To-Work Organization, the Kendall community and Studio K, the students did an excellent job before an audience of school board members, principals, and superintendents from schools across the state. After the performance, the students answered questions from the audience. They were well spoken as they responded to some tough questions about the standards.
The students received many outstanding acclamations. "Wouldn't it be nice if every critic of teenagers could see what a team of young people can do," said the author of the play, Jim Morey. "The Kendall kids are special."
The Kendall production of "Learn to Earn" will be recommended to NYSSBA to return to next year's conference, which will be in Rochester.
