Sorel named first team all-region

Lynn Sorel (Brockport) capped off an outstanding freshman year by being named to the All-Region III First team. Sorel, an outside hitter, is only the second volleyball player in school history to be named to the All-Region team as she received the third highest total in the voting. The freshman was second in both Region III and the nation in kills per game averaging 4.3. She also recorded a .879 serve percentage with 36 aces and nine solo blocks.

In addition to the All-Region honors, Sorel was named to the All Mid-State Athletic Conference Team.

Her parents are James and Patricia Sorel of Brockport.
