Veterans Outreach Center requests donations

The Veterans Outreach Center, a nonprofit charitable organization that has been serving veterans families for nearly 30 years, is in need of donations for residents of Richards House, its transitional housing facility for homeless veterans.

"We would like to give our residents some nice gifts, such as winter gloves, hats and scarves as well as toiletries," said Ann Marie Slattery, housing director. "Also, we could use dishes and other household kitchen items for our residents."

Richards House accommodates up to 23 veterans who live in a safe, homelike environment while receiving vital mental health services and addiction treatment as the first steps toward making positive, long-term lifestyle changes.
