Fourth graders at Brockport Central's Hill Elementary School collected more than 200 food items for needy families for Thanksgiving. Teachers Melissa Norment, Steve Fiorino and Deborah Perrine challenged their students to collect cans of food that could be donated to the Brockport Ecumenical Emergency Food Shelf. "We were working on graphing in class so we applied that lesson by graphing the results of our food collection," said Norment. The food was delivered to the Food Shelf on Tuesday, November 26, two days before Thanksgiving. The Brockport Ecumenical Emergency Food Shelf is located at 152 Main Street, Brockport, in the Collins House at the Church of the Nativity.
