Rangers roll behind Garwol
Senior Nicole Garwol scored 17 points to lead the Spencerport Rangers to a 54-39 win over Rush-Henrietta December 14 in girls basketball.
The Rangers held the Royal Comets scoreless for the first 5:30 of the game and led 25-15 at the half. A sixteen point third quarter offensively pushed the Ranger lead to 14 before sophomore Kacey Pratt scored twice, grabbed two rebounds and dished out an assist in the opening two minutes of the fourth quarter to give the Rangers the fifteen point win.
Pratt added eight rebounds to her nine-point effort while Lisa Eberhart was in double digits with ten points. Carrie Kazmierski and Melissa Eldridge each chipped in seven points in the win, which evened the Rangers record at 3-3.
"It was a full team effort - everybody contributed," said Spencerport head coach Mark Moon. "We moved the ball around well and played good defense, which usually translates into wins like today."
