BROCKPORT

•Burdick, Dorothy H., December 3, 2002, age 90, of Sarasota, Florida. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack, and her brothers, Fred Jr., and Raymond Hoffman. Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Chrystal Hoffman and Patricia Hoffman; also nephews Harvey Hoffman of Sarasota, Florida and Jonathan of Rochester and nieces Mary C. Hoffman and Anne Weiler of Rochester. She was a graduate of Brockport Normal School and for several years taught school in Clarkson and Irondequoit. In 1951 she and her husband moved to Florida to live. She was a life member of the Eastern Star, Mary Jane Holmes Chapter in Brockport.

She and her husband were in the ceramics business for many years. Dorothy was also very talented in the art of decoupage and was an active member of the National Guild of Decoupagers and also belonged to the American Sewing Guild.

A Memorial Service will be held in Sarasota after the holidays. The National Cremation Society, Sarasota Chapter, will be in charge. Memorials can be made to the American Sewing Guild, Scholarship Fund, 9660 Hillcroft, Suite 516, Houston, Texas 77096.


CHURCHVILLE

•Adams, Robert W. "Bob," Sunday, December 22, 2002 at age 93. He was predeceased by his son Robert and his daughter, Barbara. He is survived by his wife, Kathlyn (Cousins) Adams; his son, James (Judy) Adams of McLean, Virginia; two daughters, Beverly Kuppel of Syracuse and Betsy Masek of Pahrump, Nevada; two nieces Betty Baltz and Margaret Baltz, both of Brockport; his sister-in-law, Patricia Carr; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, former owner of Bob's Friendly Service in Churchville and later was employed at the Churchville-Chili Senior High School. He was a member of Harvey C. Noone American Legion Post #954 and was a founding member of the Churchville Lions Club.

Funeral Services were held December 27 at Walker Brothers Company Funeral Home, Churchville. Contributions can be made to the Newman Riga Public Library, 1 Village Park, Churchville, New York 14428 in his memory.


•Jacobs, Donald E., Saturday, December 21, 2002 at age 70. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Patricia A. Jacobs; his children Daniel (Julie) Jacobs, Susan (Rich) Sidoti, Stephen (Tammy) Jacobs, Ann Marie (Thomas) Maher and Brenda (Jeff) Brown; his sister, Doris Nortier; 20 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Don was a trainer at Finger Lakes Race Track for 40 years.

Funeral Mass was said December 27, at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Parkway, Rochester 14623 in his memory.


HILTON

•Born, Ruth M., December 20, 2002. Predeceased by her husband, Peter in 1993. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Terry Born of New York City; daughter, Jeanette Born of Rochester; grandchild Jennica Born; beloved relatives, Dick and Renee Stonewell, Nuni and Hardy Mieth and their children, Mark and Kurt, Victoria Lesesne and her brothers, Paul, Richard and Bruce Camping, Ronald and Delia Stonewell and Nancy Emmerich.

Funeral Services were held December 23 at Schauman-Sulewski Funeral Home, Rochester. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park.


•Burgio, John S., December 20, 2002, age 75. Predeceased by his parents, Paul and Estelle Burgio; brother, Ralph Burgio; sister-in-law, Rose Burgio. Survived by his wife, Ida; brothers, Sam (Josephine) Burgio, Joseph Burgio, Paul (Virginia) Burgio; sister-in-law, Fran Gulisano; many nieces and nephews; godchildren and friends.

•Utter, Marjorie (Fischer), December 20, 2002 age 77. Widow of Richard E. Utter, 1993. She is survived by her children, Barbara Roth (Robert Chapman), James (Sharon) Roth, Lawrence Roth; her step-children, Gail Wittenberg, Gary Utter, Cindy (Stanley) Obcamp and Nadine Farnan; her brother, Leon (Sue) Fischer; nine grandchildren; two nephews.

A Funeral Mass was said December 23 at St. Leo Church, Hilton. Interment, Parma Union Cemetery. Those wishing can make contributions to the American Lung Association in her memory.


•Warner, Marvin G. "Red", December 22, 2002, age 78. He is survived by his daughters, Vicki (Justin) Bauman, Beth (Richard) Murphy; two grandsons, Anthony Lombardi and David Stelmer; brother, Gena (Maxine) Warner; sister, Janet Johnson; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his sons, Larry (1996), Terry (1988), and their mother Lois Warner Grab (1995) and his grandson, Christopher Lombardi (1991). Red was a WWII Vet, Kodak retiree, member of Ferris-Goodridge American Legion Post, North Greece Fire Dept. Exempt and a Master Mason.

A Service Celebrating His Life was held December 28 at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton. Those wishing can contribute to their favorite charity in his memory.


HOLLEY

•Christopher, Marie Antoinette (Colucci), Age 84, died December 19, 2002. She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Christopher; three sons, Robert (Karen) Christopher of Burke, Virginia, Peter (Christine) Christopher of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Michael (Jean) Christopher of Hershey, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Betty (Oliver) Conway of Rochester, Barbara (Victor) Giambrone of Batavia; nine grandchil-dren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Christine Pallotta of Syracuse, Rose Colucci of Rochester, Mary Donato of Macedon; brother, Dominic Colucci of Rochester; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said December 23 at St. Mary's Church. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Albion. Memorials can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society in Holley.


•McLean, Rob Roy A., Jr., of Holley, died Friday, December 13, 2002 at the Lakeside Beikirch Care Center in Brockport. Predeceased by a daughter, Mary and a sister Margaret. He is survived by his loving wife Gweneth, the two were married July 17, 1974. He is also survived by eight children and one step daughter, Linda, Gail, Patricia, Marjorie, Craig, Andrew, Angus, Rob Roy III, and Lecia; one sister, Betty Blore of Arizona. Also surviving are many grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were made by the Merrill-Grinnell Funeral Home, Holley.


SPENCERPORT

•Stromquist, James M. Sr., Saturday, December 21, 2002 at age 71. He was predeceased by his father Bertil Stromquist and his brother Bert. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Phyllis (Carpino) Stromquist; his children, Cathy Stromquist, Lori Stromquist and Jim (Beth) Stromquist Jr.; his grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Alana and Kayla; his mother Catherine Stromquist; his brother, Lawrence Stromquist, sister Zella Morrison, his twin sister, Beverly Frisch; sister-in-law, Marcia Stromquist; nieces and nephews. He was a retiree of Rochester Products.

Funeral Services were held December 24 at Walker Brothers Company Funeral Home Inc., Spencerport. Interment Fairfield Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.
