Rangers 4th in relays
The four-some of Zach Grobengeiser, Doug Bennett, Jon Hogue and Johannes Dahl won the 200 Butterfly and finished second in the 200 Medley and 400 I.M. as Spencerport finished fourth at the 21st annual boy's swimming Spencerport Relays December 19.
It is the fourth consecutive year the Rangers have finished fourth at the event, which was won by Fairport for the 19th time. Churchville-Chili finished tied for fifth with Irondequoit.
The Ranger group won the Butterfly in 1:42.18 and their second place times were 1:44.74 in the Medley and 4:00.21 in the I.M. Relay.
The Saints won the diving competition behind Brad Sisson, Scott Horsington and Keith Neumann and were second in the 400 Medley in 4:17.29.
A relay record was set in the 200 Medley by Fairport with 1:39.49 breaking the seven-year record held by Orchard Park. Other schools participating in the eight-team field were Livonia and Lockport.
