Genealogy Sunday scheduled at Ogden Library
The first Genealogy Sunday program in the 2003 series is scheduled for January 19 at the Ogden Farmers' Library from noon to 4 p.m. The library will be open during that time for people who are doing genealogy and historical research. Members of the Western Monroe County Genealogical Society will be on hand, along with library staff, to assist people with their research. Ken Beaman and Cindy Rockow will host an open discussion at 2 p.m. concerning how to organize research and what to do with the family information you collect. They will talk about ways to keep your research in a logical order, and also demonstrate projects and methods that can be used to showcase specific information. Those who have compiled family history in a unique way and would like to share their experiences can bring examples of the work to share with the audience. Such examples might include scrapbooks, family quilts, photo albums, funeral/memorial service books, websites, CDs, and similar information.
Registration is requested but not required. Call Patty Uttaro at 352-2141 for information.
