Chili Senior Center programs and events set
Pace Exercise Class - Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The class offers easy exercises for men and women with arthritis or limited range of motion. Most exercises are done sitting in a chair. The class is instructed by the Arthritis Foundation. $12 for six week pass (or $6 with Preferred Care or Blue Choice). For information, contact the center at 889-6185.
Yoga - Thursday afternoons from 2 to 3:15 p.m. beginning January 16. Yoga is a gentle, non-competitive approach to stretching and relaxation using your breath to ease into basic yoga poses suitable for your body. Participants should wear loose clothing and bring a beach towel, mat or small blanket. The cost for the six week program is $20. To register, stop by the Senior Center at 3235 Chili Avenue.
Simply Lite Jazzercise - a combination of aerobics and exercises designed to improve strength, balance and flexibility using easy-to-follow movements. Participants should bring water bottle and hand weights. The class is scheduled for Wednesday mornings and runs for six weeks. $36. Call the senior center at 889-6185 for details.
Brighton Beach Memoirs - a trip to Geva Theater for the production of Brighton Beach Memoirs on Wednesday, February 5. Bus leaves parking lot at 1 p.m. and returns at approximately 5 p.m. (Showtime is 2 p.m.) Space is limited to 44. Deadline: January 21. $30.
Tuesday Talks - educational and interesting presentations offered each Tuesday at 11 a.m. A guest speaker will be featured each week. Coffee provided. There is no charge to participate.
