Hilton Asset Ambassadors
make contributions
Fifth and sixth grade students at Hilton's Village Elementary School helped gather, box and distribute more than 6,000 donations of food, clothing and toys to needy families this holiday season. An offshoot of the Hilton Character Education/Youth Asset Development Program, the Asset Ambassadors are 28 students who represent their school according to Hilton Character Education Coordinator Jodi McKain. Pictured are a group of the Ambassadors working with Sheriff Patrick O'Flynn and his department which distributed the food items. "The need seems to have grown each year," McKain said. "We have had our 'Giving Tree' program for about five years and all Hilton schools participate. This year 38 children and 15 adults received donations in the Hilton area."
