Rodas, Gaylord pace Eagles
Stacey Rodas scored 19 points and added 10 rebounds and Sarah Gaylord added 13 points as Kendall trounced Holley 61-23 in girl's basketball January 10.
The Eagles used a stifling defense to hold Hawks scoring leader Lauren Logsdon scoreless in the first quarter and jumped out to a 17-3 lead, including the first ten points of the game. Kendall made it 31-10 at half-time and 45-17 after three-quarters with a stretch of 14 consecutive points in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
Everyone got in on the act for the Eagles in the fourth quarter including baskets from Biance Smith and Nicole MacKensie. Other top players for Kendall were Kristina Gaylord with 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals and Jen Overfield with seven rebounds and six assists.
For the Hawks, Logsdon finished with a team-high ten points and four other players had three points each.
