Monroe County sponsors child car seat check

A free Child Car Seat Safety Inspection is set for Saturday, February 8, 2003 at the Henrietta Department of Public Works indoor garage at 405 Calkins Road (next to Henrietta Town Hall) from 9 a.m. to noon. The safety inspection program is designed to help parents and guardians ensure child car seats are properly installed and is sponsored in part by Monroe County.

To schedule the 30-minute inspection you must call 359-5382 to make an appointment. The car, car seat and child should be brought to the checkpoint.

Sponsors to this event include Rush-Henrietta Central School District, the Monroe County Office of Traffic Safety, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the New York State Police, Town of Henrietta, Henrietta Fire District, Henrietta Volunteer Ambulance. The state's Traffic Safety Committee provides funding.
