County units welcome department officers

Monroe County American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion (SAL) will entertain Department Commander Fang Wong, of New York City, Department President Linda Moseman Raymond, Woodstock, New York and Commander John Bogart SAL, Bath, NY at a testimonial dinner, Sunday, February 16.

Commander Wong and Commander Bogart have selected scholarships for those related to a deceased veteran as their special project. President Raymond has selected two burn camps for children as her project. They are the New York City Firefighters Burn Center and Strong Memorial Burn Camp through the Rochester Medical Center. Raymond is an active EMT and Firefighter with the Woodstock Fire Department.

The dinner will be held at the Chili American Legion Post #1830, 450 Chili-Scottsville Road with a social hour at 1 p.m. and sit down dinner at 2 p.m. Menu is choice of beef tips (mushrooms and onions) or stuffed chicken breast at $15 per person. Deadline for reservations is February 10. No tickets will be sold at the door, but can be reserved to be picked up that day.
