Holley's Ezell leads Golden Eagles

Freshman Adam Ezell (Holley) won his 165 lb. match 10-2 as the Brockport Golden Eagles defeated Oswego 39-3 in college wrestling. The Golden Eagles have seven wrestlers ranked nationally and the team is ranked third behind Wartburg College (Iowa) and Augsburg College (Minnesota).

Kris Harrington and Lenny Baker, both ranked second in the nation in Division III, won their matches - Harrington by pin in 3:40 and Baker by technical fall in 5:39. Sal Cruz won his 125 lb. match 8-5 to keep his #7 ranking while Dan Roberts pulled a mild upset with his pin of the fifth ranked wrestler in 4:50 at 133 lb.

Senior Tevon Fordyce, ranked sixth, won at 184 lb. 9-2. Fellow seniors Rob Power, ranked eighth, and Don Favro, ranked third, won their matches, as did unranked junior Rob Cuffie by pin at 197 lb.

Brockport will be trying to win their sixth national title at the national tournament March 7-8 at Ohio Northern.
