receives a grant The Walker Fire Department received the Safe Neighborhood Hero Grant given by the Sam's Club in Greece. The Walker Fire Department received $1,200, which was used to purchase two suction units for their emergency medical vehicles. Chief Charlie Hungerford stated, "The grant came at a time when we were trying to upgrade our emergency medical equipment and was greatly appreciated." ... "We are thankful that Sam's Club and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. do so much for the community organizations." Coordination of this grant was made possible through the efforts of Pam Edelman.
