Modified team swims for Special Olympics
On Saturday, January 18, the Spencerport Boys and Girls Modified Swim Team held a Swim-A-Thon in order to raise money for the Monroe County Special Olympics Swim Team. The team raised a total of $800, which was used to help purchase new equipment and contribute to the expense of awards, which are given to all swimmers.
The Special Olympics is an international organization, which provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in 26 sports to children and adults with mental retardation.
The Spencerport Swim Team is coached by Stephanie Santangelo and Darwin Snow.
