The Medical Staff of Lakeside Memorial Hospital elected new officers to serve during the 2003 year. Dr. Paul C. Axford was elected president. Dr. Axford specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology with offices in Brockport, Albion and Spencerport. He joined the Medical Staff in spring 1999 after enjoying a successful practice for 11 years in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Axford's areas of specialized interest are reproductive endocrinology, urogynecology and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Axford and his wife, Jane, reside in Clarkson with their four children. "Serving on the Medical Staff at Lakeside for the past four years has been a rewarding experience. As president, it is my privilege to be involved at this level in working with such a great group of colleagues to deliver high quality medical care in this community. I believe that this will be an important period in the hospital's history, and we will meet challenges successfully," Dr. Axford said. Other members elected to the Medical Executive Committee are Dr. George Stefanos, an Internal Medicine practitioner in Spencerport, president-elect; Dr. Mark L.. Sarnov, a partner in the Hilton Health Care group, secretary; Dr. John P. Risolo, General Surgeon with Westside Surgical Associates located in the LMH professional building, treasurer. Dr. James P.
