Kindergarten information night scheduled in Brockport

The Ginther School Parent Teacher Association is co-sponsoring an information night for parents of children in the Brockport School District who will be starting kindergarten in September 2003. The meeting, on Wednesday, March 5 from 6:45 to 8:30 p.m., will be held in the Ginther School cafeteria and media center. Information will be provided on screening, registration, support services, a typical kindergarten day, and easing the adjustment to school.

Parents will need to bring a copy of the completed kindergarten registration packet that was sent out in January. Contact the Registration Office at 637-1857 to obtain a packet. This meeting is for the adults who care for and support the kindergarten age child/children. Child care will not be provided. Tours of the building will be conducted by PTSA volunteers before and after the general meeting, 6:15 and 8:15 p.m. for anyone interested, according to district officials.
