Bright Raven gymnasts capture all around titles
Bright Raven Gymnastics Optional gymnasts traveled to Binghamton February 7-8 to compete in the I Love New York Cup held at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena and captured several all around titles.
Amanda Westcott of Brockport was the first place all around winner in the Level 7 competition for gymnasts age fifteen and over scoring a 36.475. Amanda was also first in every event: vault (9.05), uneven bars (9.05), balance beam (9.05) and floor exercise (9.325). Teammate Jaclyn Miller of Henrietta placed third all around (34.50) in the same division and was also awarded second on bars (8.95) and third on floor (8.65). In the Level 7 competition for gymnasts ages 13-14, Julie Mingoea of Spencerport was the first place all around winner with a total score of 37.025. Julie also took first on floor (9.45), second on balance beam (9.35) and third on vault (9.10). In the 11-12 age division, Megan Seuffert of Gates won first all around (36.575) and first on the uneven bars (9.575). As a team, Bright Raven Level 7's took second place (110.075) with 10 teams competing from the northeast.
In the Level 10 Senior Division, 18-year-old Randi Bisbano of Greece captured first place with a high all around total of 37.325, the highest all around of all Level 10 age divisions. In the individual events, Randi also took first place on the uneven parallel bars (9.45), second place in floor exercise (9.475), third place in vault (9.40), and fifth place on balance beam (9.00).
Sixteen year-old Shauna Gentile of Scottsville competed in the Level 9 senior division and won first place in vault (9.375), first place on floor (9.375), third place on bars (8.90) and third place all around (36.40).
