Students earn Tai Chi ranks

Members of a Tai Chi class at the Northwest Family YMCA advanced in ranks: Marge Brenneman, 83, has moved up to a green sash; Janet Preston moved up to an orange sash; Christopher Miller and Julie Montgomery both moved up to a blue sash; and Christine Howard, Theresa Dodge and Victor Pedreira moved up to black sash and can now be called Sensei in the rank of Shodan. Their instructor is David Root.
