•Dietrich, Jane Catherine Twamley, Age 80 years, February 27, 2003 at the Beikirch Care Center and Nursing Home in Brockport. Jane is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine Anne and Barry Van Vleck of Hilton; her grandchildren, Marilee Ann and Mark Rayome of Loveland, Colorado, Daniel William and Patricia Van Vleck of Hilton; great-grandchildren, David Barclay Rayome, Katelyn Rachelle Rayome, Leighanne Rene Rayome, Caroline Tait Van Vleck and Abigail Jo Van Vleck; sisters, Gladys (Sis) Sawhill, Gates, and Ruth Hartman, Rochester; sister-in-law, Dorothy Twamley, Hamlin; cousins, Frank, Kate and Owen Boylan and Ellen Aldrich; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jane was predeceased by her brother, Charles Joseph Twamley, Jr.; her nephew Frederick Hartman and her beloved "Eddie" Edward Dreschmidt.

A Funeral Mass was said March 6 at Holy Cross Church. Inurnment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be made to the G.R.H.C. Hospice Care, the Holy Cross building fund, or the American Cancer Society.


•Montrois, Michael G., Suddenly, March 2, 2003 at the age of 56. He is predeceased by his mother, Gladys. Survived by his son, Michael (Theresa Terra); father, Francis of Brockport; his brothers, Richard (Patricia), Frederick (Elaine), Peter (Diane), Bernard and Daniel (Pam); his aunt and god-mother, Hazel Carrol; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held March 6 at Fowler Funeral Home, Inc., Brockport. Private interment. Contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation in his memory.

•Rombaut, Robert L., Died March 1, 2003 at the age of 78. He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy (Masseth) of 57 years; his children, John (Thelma), Don (Jeri), Peggy (Dale) Wohlers, Patricia (Andrew) Schreiner, Ken (Cindy) Rombaut, Jeanmary (Michael) Day; grandchildren, Tim (Teri) Rombaut, Debbie (Chris) Young, Jeff and Julie Rombaut, Scott (Bridget) Wohlers, Teri (Jamie) Cunningham, David, Ben and Amy Schreiner, Kevin and Kyle Rombaut, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Emily and Mary Day; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Connor Rombaut, Zachary and Tyler Young, Bradley Cunningham; brother, Paul (Midge) Rombaut; sister, Catherine (Mike) Culhane; brother-in-law, Jim (Shirley) Masseth; sisters-in-law, Henny (Lou) Mitta, Marie (Dick) Markel, Helen Rombaut and Cathy Masseth. Robert was a veteran of WWII and retired from Kodak after 37 years of service, 50 year member of Nativity Catholic Church in Brockport, member of Our Lady of Cenacle Council #3892, Bishop Kearney Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and an American Legion Post #1591.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held March 8 at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Brockport. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the spring. Memorials can be made to Nativity Church Cemetery Fund, 152 Main Street, Brockport 14420.


•Klafehn, Laura A. "Laurie," February 28, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Gerald L. Klafehn; her children, Kim (Robert) Johnson and Robert Klafehn (Aline Paugh); her brother, Edward (Susan) Jewsberry Jr.; her sister, Mary Krueger; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Bernice Jewsberry.

A Funeral Service was held March 4 at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home Inc., Hilton. Spring interment, Garland Cemetery. Those wishing can make contributions to Unity Foundation or Brockport Fire Department and Ambulance in her memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•Caufield, Thomas E. Sr., Friday, February 28, 2003 at age 75 following a long illness. He was predeceased by his brothers, Daniel and Edward Caufield and his sister Patricia Quigley. He is survived by his wife, Marcella (Bryant) Caufield; his four children Thomas (Barbara) Caufield Jr., Maureen (David) Rockell, James (Catie) Caufield and Kathleen Eckerd; his sisters, Mary (Edward) Tydings, Sr. Margaret Caufield RSM, Sr. Ann Caufield RSM and Sr. Janet Caufield RSM; brother John (Marguerite) Caufield; sister-in-law, Thirza Caufield; brother-in-law, James Quigley; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; several nieces and nephews. He was a former Fire Chief and a 45 year member of the Churchville Volunteer Fire Department, Past President of Monroe County Volunteer Fire Chief's Association, member of NYS and Monroe County Fire Marshalls and Inspectors Association, Monroe County Fire Police Association, Fourth Battalion Line Officers Association, Town of Riga Justice (1972-1983), Past President of Monroe County Magistrates Association, former mem-ber of NYS Police and Monroe County Sheriff's Office.

Funeral Services were held March 3 at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Churchville. Interment St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Churchville Volunteer Fire Department or to St. Vincent DePaul Church in his memory.


•Weis, Helen M., February 25, 2003. She was predeceased by her husband, George F. Weis and her son, Richard. She is survived by her son Peter (Janice)Weis; three daughters, Susan (Roy) Betteridge, Peggy (William) Maher and Diane Weis; her brother, Ralph Grimsley; four sisters, Louise (Edward) Weis, Jean (Kenneth) Rice, Jane (Darwin) Shaw and Dorothy (William) Borland; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held February 28 at Walker Brothers Co. Funeral Home Inc., Churchville. Spring interment, Riga Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association in her memory.


HILTON

•Frank, Elizabeth A., February 27, 2003, age 43. Survived by her husband, Mark; children, Andrew and Sara Frank; parents, Jack (Barbara) Abbott; brothers, John (Kristine)Abbott, Thomas (Nancy) Abbott, Ned (Chris) Abbott; several nieces and nephews. Liz worked for Spencerport McDonald's and Ridgemont Wegmans.

•Senkala, Michael J., February 27, 2003 of cancer, age 58. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Clark) Senkala; his children, Daniel and Barbara Senkala; his sisters, Bernice Fess and Dorothy (Frederick) Pitt; father-in-law, Roger Clark; sisters and brothers-in-law, Roger (Carol) Clark, Eileen Brookman (Isaac Keller); his aunt, Mary Jo Harding; several nieces, nephews and cousins including, Linda (Don) Prince and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Anna Senkala. Mike was an architect employed by LaBella Associates.

HOLLEY

•DeFilipps, Frederick J. "Nitch," Age 56 died suddenly February 28, 2003. He was born January 11, 1947 in Brockport, a son of the late Donald and Dora (Petta) DeFilipps and had lived in Holley all of his life. Fred served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam and was a member and former post commander of the Jewell Buckman Post 529 American Legion and a former County Commander for Orleans County. He was also a former coach and manager for American Legion Baseball in Orleans County. He was a member of the VFW post 202 in Holley and St. Mary's Church. He is survived by his children, Jennifer of Rochester, Sara of Holley and Donald of Holley; aunts, Mary Lueze and Lucille McMullen both of Holley; cousins, David (Ruth) Press of Holley; several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was said March 4 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Holley. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or Orleans County Joint Veterans Council, Route 31, Albion, 14411.


KENDALL

•Kruger, Shirley Ann (McLean), Age 67, died February 26, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Warren A.; children, Warren (Lynette) of Kendall, Jerry (Gloria) of Brockport, Ronald (Brenda) of Lyndonville, Cindy (Jimmy) Smith of Holley, Jeffrey (Kimberly) of Holley, Lee (Melissa) of Medina, Dean (Chris) of Chili, Jim Kuhn of Kendall; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy (Jane) McLean of Kendall, Raymond (Shirley) McLean of Rochester; sister, Geraldine Motzer of Lyndonville; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda.
