Ford Friendship Express applications available
to area not-for-profit organizations
The Rochester area Ford Dealers offer organizations looking for help in meeting their transportation needs to apply to the 2003 Ford Friendship Express program. Started locally in 2001, the Ford Friendship Express program accepts applications from not-for-profit organizations located in the counties of Monroe, Livingston, Ontario, Yates and Wayne. Application deadline is April 30, and van recipients will be notified in the summer 2003.
Last year, a van was donated to Foodlink, an incubator program that aims to help potential food-business owners through job training and business planning.
Adorned with a rainbow Ford Friendship Express graphic and Foodlink's name, the van can be seen transporting food in the ten counties serviced by the organization.
Eligible candidates must be not-for-profit organizations located and operating in the area coinciding with the Western New York Ford Dealers. An application must be completed and submitted to the Ford Friendship Committee before April 30. Applications are available by logging on to www.wnyford.com or by sending a request to Ford Friendship Express Program, 50 Fountain Plaza, Suite 1000, Buffalo, NY 14202.
