Irish Tenor Brendan O'Riordan visits Hilton School

Quest Elementary School leprechauns surround Irish tenor Brendan O'Riordan, guest of teacher Nancy O'Johnstone, rear left, this week during activities on St. Patrick's Day. O'Riordan entertained students with "Danny Boy," a song about a parent losing their son to war; and other Irish folk favorites including "It's a Great Day for the Irish." O'Riordan talked to students about Irish songs that sing of "brave people who went out on the sea and rescued people out on the sea." A Fairport resident, O'Riordan's visit was sponsored by Mrs. Johnstone.
