Historical Society signs 99 year lease

The Clarkson Historical Society will be meeting at 7:15 p.m. on April 2 at the Town Justice Court Building on Lake Road in Clarkson. Part of their membership meeting this month will be the signing of a 99 year lease for the 1850's Clarkson Schoolhouse with the Clarkson Community Church. A project that has captured the minds and spirits of many Clarkson residents for the past six years, the renovation of the old schoolhouse can, with the signing of the lease, begin to become a reality for the preservation-minded group.

The CHS invites the public to be in attendance at this meeting. A program on early Indian settlers in Clarkson, presented by society secretary Sheryl deJonge, will complete the evening's events.
