North Greece Fire Station relocation up for vote April 2

Voters in the North Greece Fire District can vote on a referendum to relocate Station #1 from 3564 Latta Road to 645 North Greece Road. The current station is the polling place on April 2.

Fire District officials presented the plan at a public meeting on March 19. The location of the station at a busy intersection and difficulty in maneuvering vehicles in traffic are cited as serious problems at the present headquarters.

The fire district proposes to bond $2.9 million to relocate Station #1 to property it already owns on North Greece Road and to get voter approval to sell the existing station and property.
