Veterans Outreach Center needs volunteers

The Veterans Outreach Center needs teams and individuals from businesses, organizations, schools, or other groups to volunteer on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14 (Flag Day) for the charity's Tenth Annual Flag Day Campaign. Volunteers raise awareness about Flag Day and money for the VOC by distributing handheld American flags and collecting donations in return.

Proceeds from the Tenth Annual Flag Day Campaign will fund programs and services - housing, employment assistance, outreach - for homeless and disadvantaged veterans. The goal is to raise $35,000 through the campaign.

Major sponsors of this year's event include Agrilink Foods, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 20 and Wegmans Food Markets.
