Roberts women's
soccer team adds
two more CC Saints
Kimmie Hill and Kelly Monahan of Churchville-Chili High School have signed to play soccer for Roberts Wesleyan College. Both Hill and Monahan were two-sport athletes at Churchville. Hill will participate at Roberts as a member of the women's soccer team and track and field team. Monahan, who played basketball at Churchville, will turn her attention to the soccer field as the Raiders look to continue winning under second year coach Andrea Boon.
Kimmie Hill won the Section V title for the pentathlon and was part of the Section V champion soccer team in 2002 along with teammate Joanna Patalano, who is also attending Roberts. "Kimmie is one of the most consistent players I have worked with. She reads the game well and has a strong touch on the ball," said coach Boon of Hill.
Kelly Monahan played basketball on varsity for three years at Churchville. "Kelly has been out of the soccer realm for a couple of years; however, she has natural skill and game sense that will quickly become refined. She is a dynamic individual whose athleticism and attitude will contribute greatly to our program," said Coach Boon of Monahan. This is not a new precedent for the women's soccer team who just last season had Sheri Bryant return to the soccer field after a four-year absence; and who was tied for second on the team in scoring with 10 goals.
