Genesee Region Home Care and Hospice is sponsoring a bereavement support group for grandparents who have lost a grandchild or those who are concerned about grandchildren who have lost a parent. Meetings will take place on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month beginning April 24. The group will meet at the parish center of Asbury First Methodist Church 1010 East Avenue in Rochester - from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants are welcome to bring along a bag lunch. Coffee and cookies will be provided.

Sessions are led by a professional facilitator and will include grief education plus opportunities for sharing experiences about a loss in the family that affects beloved adult children and grandchildren.

No pre-registration is required and there is no fee. A small donation to hospice is requested if participants are able. There is parking directly behind the building.
