Local scout achieves
highest honor
Chili Boy Scout Troop #53 held an Eagle Court of Honor for Josh Brugger on February 9.
In order to achieve the rank of Eagle, a scout must have earned a minimum of 21 merit badges, serve six months as a Life scout and hold six months of leadership positions in the troop. He must also plan, implement and report on an approved project. His Eagle project was making improvements to the outbuilding and pavilion at the Harvey C. Noone Post in Churchville. The project included making repairs to the roof and painting.
Brugger, son of Glenn and Kathy Brugger of Churchville, is involved with varsity soccer at Churchville-Chili High School and plays for the Rochester Jr. Rhinos. He is in the eleventh grade and is interested in a career as a physical therapist.
