Work to mill and pave Rt. 31 between Union Street (Rt. 259) and Long Pond Road in Spencerport and Gates began last week. The Rt. 31/Manitou Road and Rt. 31/Elmgrove Road intersections will be under construction first followed by pavement repairs and complete resurfacing.

Motorists should expect one-way alternating traffic directed by flaggers.

The completion date for this $1.3 million project is slated for later this summer. The contractor is DiFiore Construction.
