Hamlin Recreation will offer Start Smart, a sports development program for preschool children ages 3 to 5 (accompanied by a parent). The six-week program runs Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The parent must attend a pre-program meeting Wednesday, May 28 at 6:30 p.m. and the children start attending on June 11 and end on July 16. The cost will be $35 and participants meet at the Hamlin Town Hall gym.

This program aims to teach children, with their parents, basic sports mechanics necessary to play organized sports and work one-on-one. It will focus on throwing, catching, batting and kicking skills without the threat of competition or the fear of getting hurt. For information call Hamlin Recreation at 585-964-7222.
