Winners of Greece Performing Arts Society's (G.P.A.S.) Young Artist program 2003 competition have been announced. The recital will be held Wednesday, June 4 at 7 p.m. at St.John The Evangelist Church, 2400 West Ridge Road in Greece.

Combining both vocalists and instrumentalists, this recital is a celebration of the excellent musical achievements within the Greece Central Schools. Admission is free.

This year's winner's include: male vocalist - 1st - Brett Langdon, 2nd - John Veneron, Oyer Award - Mark Hasman, Honorable Mention - Pat Cummings, Honorable Mention - Benjamin Schmitt. Female vocalist - 1st - Maureen LaRussa, 2nd - Sarah Pfeifer, Oyer Award - Kara Lindsay, Honorable Mention - Evelyn Meier, Honorable Mention - Jacqueline Nichols. Instrumental - 1st - Emily Fox, French horn; 2nd - Paul Ciero, violin; Oyer Award - John Veneron, French horn; Honorable Mention - Meaghen McTamminy, piano; Honorable Mention - Evelyn Meier, clarinet.
