Girl Scouts present
a gift and
entertainment

Fourteen members of Bergen Girl Scout Troop #2155 and their leader, Lori Nelson, visited Lakeside Child Care Center in Brockport and sang, "God Bless America," read books to the Lakeside children, and presented a handmade quilt. Completing this project contributed to the troop's Bronze Award and Community Service. The scouts performed a dance routine to the song "Footloose" which they had previously entered in a talent show at Byron-Bergen Central School. Their talent was also shown in the quilt they presented. The creation of the quilt was initiated by the Mice Patrol, a sub-group of the Girl Scout Troop 2155. Together the Mice Patrol developed the overall color scheme and then each girl took a fabric square, initialed their name and sewed it together. Scouts are shown above with some of the Lakeside Child Care children.
