A Kids Fair May 31 puts the focus on safety. Presented by Holley Karate, in conjunction with the Holley Police and Fire Department, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Holley Elementary School - Northwest Parking Lot. In case of rain, the events will take place in the Holley Intermediate School gymnasium.

Planned activities and demonstrations include:

•Holley Fire Department - fire prevention demonstration, a visit from "Sparky" the Fire Dog, child safety house and the display of a fire truck and ambulance on location.

•Holley Police Department - D.A.R.E. information, safety demonstrations, skateboard safety, child seat safety, bike rodeo (weather permitting), and a visit from "McGruff" the Crime Dog.

•Holley Karate - stranger danger training, Kyokushin Karate demonstartion, self-defense.

•Laidlaw Educational Services - The Talking School Bus.

•Bring in the Clowns - Face painting and balloon sculptures.

Children will receive a free "Safety & Prevention Kids Fair 2003" T-shirt (while supplies last). Children who successfully complete the bike rodeo will receive a free bike helmet (while supplies last).
