Students in grades 10-12 in the Holley Select Chorus boarded a Motorcoach Covered Wagon on Thursday, May 15 at 12:01 a.m. and headed for Liberty Island. Fundraisers held over the past two years allowed the students to perform at the Statue of Liberty, and St. Vartan Armenian Church. In addition, the students attended a workshop at LaGuardia High School of Music and Performing Arts, toured Radio City Music Hall, NBC and the United Nations. Selections performed included various traditional patriotic numbers including Let Freedom Ring by Keith Christopher, New York State of Mind by Bill Joel and Pucell's Alleluia. The three different programs prepared for the trip can be heard at the Holley High School Concert, June 5, 7:30 p.m. The Holley Middle School Concert will be held at the High School on June 3.
