Bright Raven Gymnasts win in Elmira
Bright Raven Gymnastics Teams traveled to Elmira May 10 to compete in the Spring Spectacular Invitational and came home with two team awards and numerous individual honors.
The Level 5/6 Team captured first place with a team total of 186.70. Sabrina Hill of Brockport took first place all around (36.875) competing in the Level 6 Senior division. In the individual events, Hill also took first on the uneven parallel bars (9.45), first on balance beam (8.90), second on vault (9.05) and second in floor exercise (9.475). Amber Kober of Ogden took second place in the same division (36.825) and was first in vault (9.30), first on floor (9.80) and second on bars (9.05). In the Level 6 Junior division, Breanna Fischer of Gates was first all around (36.00). Fischer was also first in three events: vault (8.95), uneven bars (9.15) and floor exercise (9.50). She was third on beam (8.40). Kara Golis of Churchville took second place all around (35.25) and was second in vault (8.85), second on beam (8.55), second on floor (9.50) and third on bars (8.35). Alyssa Kober of Ogden took second place on bars (9.00) and third on floor (9.05). In the Level 5 Senior division, Erin Kolb of Chili took second place all around (36.675) and finished second on bars (9.50) and third on beam (9.325). Maura Wojak of Chili was first on beam (9.55) and took third all around (36.425). Danielle Peruzzini of Brockport was first on vault (9.10), second in floor exercise (9.70) and placed fourth all around (36.10). Allison Grove of Chili was first on bars (9.525) and took fifth all around (36.025). Emily Gutknecht of Rochester took first place in floor exercise (9.80) and was sixth all around (35.175). Kristina Wolf of Hilton took second place in vault (8.85). In the Level 5 Junior division, Amanda Arcieri of Chili took first place in floor exercise (9.60), third place on bars (9.30) and fifth all around (35.15). Amanda Clapper of Spencerport was fifth on bars (9.05) and sixth on beam (9.075). Olivia Ferrauilo of Greece also completed in the same division and contributed to the team effort totaling 33.625 all around.
The Level 4 team took second place totaling 182.375. Elaina Mazzola of Chili captured first all around (36.975) in the Senior division. In the individual events, Mazzola also took first on vault (9.40), first on beam (9.40) and first in floor exercise (9.475). Audrey Keene of Hilton took second place on bars (8.825) and third all around (35.90). Ashley Milizia of Chili was first on bars (8.95) and fourth all around (35.875). Amanda Goldfischer of Greece was fifth all around (35.15). Shannon Fitzgerald of Chili took third place in vault (9.225) and Emily Gutknecht of Rochester was third on beam (9.075). In the Level 4 Intermediate division, Amber Harewood of Chili took second place in vault (9.35) and fourth all around (35.80). Emily Ferrauilo of Greece was second on beam (9.275). Rhiann Korth of Avon placed second on floor (9.35). Haley Cunningham of LeRoy was sixth on beam (9.05). In the Level 4 Junior division, Emily Thomas of Conesus took first place on bars (8.85), second place on vault (9.25) and fifth all around (35.475). Alyssa Morone of Churchville (33.65) and Madeline Pierce of Hilton (33.175) also aided the Level 4 team.
