Red Oak Golf Range, 17071 West Ridge Road, Murray, NY, will host local qualifiers for the 2003 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship on three Saturdays in May and June. The qualifiers are open to all professional and amateur golfers. Golfers may compete in one of five divisions: Junior A and B; Open (all ages); Seniors (45-54); Super Seniors (55 and over); or Women's. Scheduled dates are Saturday, May 31, Saturday, June 7 and Saturday, June 14.

Based on the number of paid tries, up to six (6) competitors in each division may advance to the district qualification event. The finals of the 2003 RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship will take place October 14-18, 2003 in Mesquite, Nevada.

The costs to participate are $30 for Open and Senior Divisions; $20 for Women's and Super Senior Divisions; $10 for Junior Divisions A and B. Six balls are considered one try. Each competitor may enter as many times as he/she wishes.

A total purse of $350,000, the largest in Long Drive history, will be available to the finalists. The finals will be broadcast on national television.
